Question: What are the little things managers can do to build a more creative atmosphere in meetings?

Being properly prepared for a meeting is the first step for stimulating creativity at a meeting. Definitely have an agenda. Make sure everyone knows what time the meeting ends and stick to it. If people know how long they will be there, they are more likely to open up. If attendees are watching the clock they are more likely to stifle their own ideas and the ideas of others to get out of the meeting as quickly as possible. Show that you respect their time and they will respect your meeting.
